You Have the Right to Remain Violent
“You have the right to remain violent. Anything you say or do can be used against you in our court of law even if we tell you to say it or do it.” Damned if they do, damned if they don’t, it’s child vs. child, violently beating each other senseless, as the police department, the town manager, the school officials, and even the kids’ own parents turn their heads. But why? How come “the system” failed these kids? Corrupt adults are the choreographers, and innocent children are the performers, who are conned into the right to remain violent. It’s a right that looks exciting to the kids... at first. But with the murders, the arson, and all the violent fighting increasing in Danville, things quickly get out of hand. You Have the Right to Remain Violent puts friend against friend, as the kids participate in a horrifying game of society gone sour. Just who can they trust? Just who trusts them? Will anyone ever trust anyone again? How far would you go if you had the right to remain violent? Would you fight? Would you kill? Would you survive?
