About Joel
Joel A. Greenberg
A graduate of Emerson College, Boston, Joel received his degree in Mass Communications, which certified him for print, radio, television, and film.
Shortly after college, Joel was hired to work in television production, pre-production, and post.
Joel had the opportunity to work with and cast many child actors. With this experience, combined with the experiences of his radio training, he created, produced, and hosted a radio talk and music show called RadioActive Kids. It was the only show on the air for, by, and about kids. Joel had a child co-host on-air with him each week, and he organized all the production that went on each day after school, teaching children both the technical aspects and performance aspects of radio broadcasting. RadioActive Kids had a waiting list for advertisers in its local market! It also exposed Joel to the adolescent mind, a subject in itself that fascinated him, and one he knew he wanted to combine with his other interests - especially writing novels and film.
From 1981 to 2006, Joel owned and operated an extremely successful mobile DJ company. He used his mobile sytem to organize a series of dance parties, where local middle school kids had the opportunity to meet and hang out with some of their favorite teen TV stars and WWE superstars. Proceeds from these events were donated to charity.
More recently, Joel made the decision to do what he has always wanted to do -- write and produce. Using his life’s experiences, he’s become a published author, and one half of a screenwriting team. Now, some of his gritty, teen-oriented novels are currently slated to become motion pictures.
Joel Continues to write, create, and teach lessons through his works.
